Re: Inside the Maze
She emerged from her side of the maze seemingly at the same time, the extra-long strands of her glamored hair looking wind-swept and unruly; rounding the last bend, the hedges had opened to release a whirlwind of glitter directly into her face, and she was still spitting some of the dreadful craft supply out of her mouth when she caught sight of him.
And promptly burst into peels of silvery laughter.
"Oh no!" she cried in absolute delight, taking in the stark outline of his glasses in the paint drenching his face. Between her hysterics and the restrictive nature of her dress, she nearly fell over, but caught herself on his arm to steady herself, gasping for breath as she offered him part of her trailing sleeve to wipe his face. "Here. You've definitely earned yourself a drink." Her laughter subsided into hiccuping little giggles that shook her shoulders, but all she had to do was look back up at him to start up all over again.
By the time they exited the maze, she had composed herself, and craned her neck back to look up at him with a smile still slightly bespeckled with glitter-dust. "See what you'd have missed if you hadn't come?"
