Divination Games - Siri & OPEN | Party start
Elated by her first Samhain experience, Siri was happily taking in the whole affair when she spotted the apple divination stand. Arm-in-arm with a roustie she'd convinced to dress as Drax (complete with unevenly powdered blue skin and fake scarification marks done in red marker) she tugged her cohort towards the apple-bobbing barrel to select an apple, each.
A hand on each side of the barrel, she took a breath to firmly center her human manifestation. He first attempt at catching an apple went poorly. The red flesh darted away from her like a cork, splashing her in the face. The tree spirit laughed, shaking it off, then caught a fruit on her second try. Triumphantly, she posed for her friend with arms held akimbo, the fruit still pinched between her teeth. Laughing, she plucked it from her mouth, then excused herself to fetch a knife for peeling. Peeling food she couldn't eat seemed a bit wasteful, so she resolved to donate the fruit to someone else once finished with it.
Lucky as the Nang Ta'Khian was, her peel separated from the apple in one smooth, even ribbon on the first try. She had no expectations of any real answer to her fruit-based query after a mystery soulmate. She was a spirit after all. This was about honoring seasonal traditions. Still, she hoped for a fun result when she tossed the peel over her shoulder. The peel slapped the floor behind her. Siri turned, then frowned. "Is that a ... lower case g? A wonky q?" she asked of the costumed stranger nearest her, requesting a second opinion. "Maybe an unfinished z or fancy uppercase J?" Siri laughed through her nose. "Maybe it's a sickle. Or a question mark. I shall marry the Riddler!" she declared, pleased with herself. Truthfully, it looked like nothing at all. Interpretation was half the fun, it seemed.
