"What, seriously?" Cora stopped trying to see through the crowd and turned, looking thoughtfully up at her admittedly much taller companion. True, she would have a much clearer line of sight from up on his shoulders. But it would also make the both of them much more noticeable in the crowd, and was that necessarily a good thing? Whoever had left that body in the tank might still be around, and the scent of blood in the air might be bringing forth the more predatory instincts of other circus employees. She was just a slightly beyond average human, drawing a target on her back wasn't something she wanted to do.
But surely any help she could provide would be welcome. And anyway, management had rules against coworkers preying on each other, so there couldn't be that much danger in it. She nodded decisively, an amused little grin on her face. "Yeah, all right. If you're sure it's okay, I should just need a quick look."
