Lucy & Ric & Open?
Although the circus was a place offering all sorts of entertainment at practically any hour, Ric was not among those who enjoyed the nightlife. He was early to bed, early to rise, and therefore clad in silk pajamas with a robe pulled hastily overtop when departing from his home in the village to investigate the cause for such a ruckus. Having only just arrived before Lucy, he verged on feeling out of place and underdressed until scoping her similarly casual attire.
"Either the management has acquired a shark without informing the rest of us, or there has been a terrible misfortune," Ric answered. It was the long-winded way of saying, he didn't know for sure. His framing it as a misfortune in place of an accident was deliberate, though, as death in such a place as this rarely happened without reason. Some were justifiable, and some not as much. Putting aside his ego, he admitted, "I haven't been here long enough to gather whether it's a guest or one of our own. Were you friends with any of the aquarium performers?"
