Lucy & Open to Anyone who is coming out to see what's happening
Lucy had been determined to stay in, she'd finished all of her work early so she could just hide in her trailer. She had Netflix queued and hot tea on the stove. She knew it wasn't the hangover that had her feeling so out of it. She rarely suffered any lingering effects no matter how much she drank. Her metabolism was high and she was always sober in less than a few hours even if she drank an entire bottle of tequila. No, her tension was from the fact she was overthinking her decision to meet with the medium. To try to contact her mum.
It wasn't the need to see what was going on that drew her out, it was the weird smells and sounds coming from the Village. In the 8 months that she had been with the circus, she'd gotten used to the sounds of the night rituals. The energy of the entire Village after a good night, the tired but pleased voices that would linger into the day until everyone was asleep. It was different and that worried her.
She didn't bother to slip on clothes, dressed in a pair of shorts and tank top, she tied her hair up quickly before she left to see what was going on. She stopped outside of the Lagoon, not even needing to see anything. She could smell the coying scent of death. A very recent one. It wasn't unusual but the fact that people were coming out to see what happened was. She stayed back, choosing a familiar face in the crowd. "What happened?" She asked as she came to a standstill next to them.
