Though Emika considered herself to be very well-read, there was still so much that she did not know about the world outside of the London that she knew. She had always considered mothers those who possessed bodies that could physically bear children, but she had read books with transgender characters in them and she couldn't begin to guess what supernatural bodies were capable of. Not wanting to be one of the narrow-minded people that she so despised herself, she also gladly moved on from the subject.
"I don't think that I can play with anyone. Not yet, anyway. I can stand quietly all night, but I have very little control over my own power." They wouldn't dare put her somewhere she had to use telekinesis, as unpredictable as she could be. She liked the Stargazer though, and the solitude of the job - and the dress.
"What kind of books do you have?" she asked, hurrying along after him, glad that she had a long enough stride to keep up and was able to decipher his rapid talk. "It didn't take me long to figure that out about Prosper, but he seems so nice. I want to go and meet him, even if he doesn't remember who I am!"
She had been told of the rules right from the outset, but she was still amazed that such an agreement was able to hold. "There are no accidents? Ever?" she couldn't help but ask. Emika was just a human at the end of the day, after all, even with the addition of a power so it was a concern she couldn't help but have.
