Mona would have happily worn jeans and a black dress shirt had she been choosing for herself, but it didn't quite go with the aesthetics of the shop she'd been gifted. Besides, when she was told that her costume would be made by a dragon, Mona was instantly there. How could anyone resist the chance to talk to a dragon?
So while it wasn't what Mona would have chosen to wear for herself, it certainly created a look when paired with her new workplace.
With the sun having set behind the lines of tents, Mona was trying to get the new fairy lights out and strung across the balconies before people began appearing. The scent that followed behind her was the vanilla of her perfume along with the chili, cinnamon and black tea that was her latest creation, sitting in a pot on the outside table while she waited for it to cool.
She was half-singing 'Be Our Guest' quietly under her breath as she worked, leaning down from the upstairs floor as she tried to run the lights along the banister. ('Half-singing' because Mona, although good at many things, was not a singer and would not inflict that on anyone but herself.)
Leaning out, the string of lights slipped from her hand and fell onto the grass. With a groan she looked around to see if there was anyone nearby who wasn't busy, or whether she'd actually have to climb down the ladder and bring them back.
"Hi!" she called out to the man she spotted not far away. "Could you pass me those lights by any chance?"
