Upon the sound of a stranger's voice interrupting his thoughts, Ashok rolled his eyes. "We are closed," he said without turning around to acknowledge her existence. Ignoring humans in the modern world made them more likely to become quiet and eventually leave.
Several jars of herbs, oils and spices sat out on the table along with several kinds of cheese and spinach leaves. His counters were clean and organized in their set up, but Ashok had wanted to get a head start on a few items on the menu that would take longer to bake than a typical wait time. The quicker he could get food out onto the floor the quicker the customers would leave for more entertaining events.
