"Yeah, let's go," Kennedy said, willing to follow Ghede's special eyes to their target. She carried her passengers with her, the rest of the snakes following as they worked their way to the cove, where she saw... a tree that looked like a boat? Kennedy stopped when Ghede did, fidgeting for a second when he seemed content to stop and wait. Her particular energy didn't lend itself well to meditative moments, however, and after a second or two she pushed some hair behind one ear and opened her mouth to speak. "So--" was all she managed before the ghost shimmered back into view, looking like a woman again. She was perched on the tree-boat, and at her appearance, the snakes cuddling around Kennedy immediately left to return to the spirit's side.
The quiet sound of the snakes all hissing made Kennedy grin, glancing over at Ghede. "I don't think they like you much," she teased. They seemed... protective of the spirit, and Kennedy wasn't sure why she wasn't provoking the same response that Ghede was.
Further comment was put on hold when the woman spirit stood, wrapping herself in a blanket-like shawl and smiling at Kennedy. She spoke - a word Kennedy didn't understand, in a clearly Native language. And yet... "Um, Ghede?" she murmured. "I understood that." It had been, undeniably, a greeting. Kennedy heard it in a language she didn't speak, but at the same time, she knew.
