Finnerty pouted, shaking her head. She was fine physically. It would be hard for a human attacker to do much to her as her toxins were produced when in fear or hunger. Unlike some of the creatures at the Cirque, though, she did not eat humans nor human remains. It was disgusting to even think about that. She'd eat any sea creature imaginable but humans had so many pollutants in their systems for her.
The man wobbled under his foot, moved only by the pressure exerted rather than a reaction from the male. The mermaids' brows furrowed in thought. Death was such a natural process in her world that she did not know the usual guilt or sorrow humans sometimes felt when someone was slowly dying. It was the circle of life.
"I'm not sure... I've not stayed around to see if they died or not. I know depending on my intention it can be a slow process before it hits their lungs." She chewed on her lip as if she had done something wrong. "I did not intend to eat him so-" She paused. "Am I in trouble?"
