His eyebrows earned him nothing, not so much as a flicker. Elia had never been one to cave to the pressure of a look, not even Kennet's looks. Besides which, she hadn't given the demon the idea of a brothel as something the Cirque needed. She might have chimed in to the conversation, but she thought she had been quite clear in her thoughts that V&V was half a brothel anyway.
The reaction that he got was for his almost deadpan teasing, which she could always appreciate. Her expression became feigned surprise and then hurt, lips pouting prettily. "Kennet!
