Management's 'request' of being seen had the stronger impact on the employees. The Ringmaster always paid attention to the Cirque and its attractions previously, though he had more commonly took his Raven form for such matters- perched on tent tops eyes scanning patrons and employees alike. Interruptions to his task fell on only Management's call when a new employee came in and Kennet did not have situations like the Fae following his path.

Leaving her behind, ignoring her words as he left would have been the better choice. The fact that the mentalist had taken her attention so quickly made the entire situation bearable. There were many other things to focus on after the attack and Elia's distractions toward him only growing into more distractions did not bode well for the circus.

"While I doubt you would follow me around as your show is done, I believe we should speak further about the productivity of the coven." He gestured through the back exit. Without waiting for her, he stepped out, nodding to the security that stood there and walked down the aisle the tent backs created for easy movement.
Kennet stopped at a stack of trunks, piled high enough to allow stilt-walkers some rest.
