Honestly, Elia wouldn't have been entirely surprised if he hadn't stopped, if he'd just kept walking and ignored her – and while she might have rolled her eyes, she wouldn't even have been really annoyed. That would have been typical of Kennet, and sort of par for the course for their interactions since the day of the attack in Rome.
Not that she minded, not really. She had been distracted by Issac, feeling guilty and worried about the warlock, and hadn't intended to push for anything more anyway. Even so, Elia could admit to a vague sense of satisfaction that he happened to make that visit while she performed. "Of course not," she offered back blithely. "Can't let anyone think you're having fun."
The pretty Fae's accidental interruption was amusing, and by the time she departed Elia was barely holding back a laugh. Kennet's response only made it worse, and the witch shook her head. "You know, if you checked in more at the attractions, you probably wouldn't seem quite so terrifying. People just aren't used to seeing you." Her eyes flicked appraisingly up and down his length. "Pleasant as you are to see, Ringmaster."
