"I should have known. My priorities weren't in the proper order," Elia's tone was firm. As far as she was concerned, that was the truth. But it would be okay. She could make sure that nothing like that ever happened again. And in the meantime, there was no reason to make Issac uncomfortable.
She nuzzled close, pressing a kiss against his neck, and then catching him briefly with her teeth, a playful nip to change the tone of the conversation again. "I'm not sure if he can sense it. He knows that we're always sort of open to one another. He knows there are no secrets. I'm not sure if he knows that you get them in real-time, more or less." The idea was a little amusing – and a little sexy, as well. Elia's thoughts drifted briefly toward Issac's response to an open connection like that; the mental picture made her lips curve at one corner.
