His comments about the Ringmaster, half-veiled as they were, made Elia grin and roll her eyes despite the brush of his fingers along her thighs and hips. Issac's touch was familiar and comfortable; not everything between them was always electric, and that's how she preferred it. Sex was fun, and Elia was somewhat notorious for liking lots of it. But she liked her deeper connection with Issac, and that sex hadn't made it weird.
"Just remember, we're not talking about it, not outside the two of us. Not even Maddy. I swore." Had she sworn? She couldn't remember; there had been a lot of distractions at that point. Either way, she had given her word, and she intended to keep it. Elia might have been willing to appear untrustworthy to others, but Kennet seemed to be a special case. Issac might have been the only one who understood just how much a special case, actually. "But I'm shocked at the idea that once – or twice – would be enough. You know me better than all that."
It wouldn't have surprised Elia to know that her dalliances with the Ringmaster were 'loud' to Issac. They were still recent, and still so intense in her own memories that she could almost feel the heat under her skin. "Of course not. What would we do without our stuffy, repressed Ringmaster?"
