Marcus playfully tisked and watched Ilinca move toward him. "Didn't your mum teach you not to play with your food?" The witch kept a casual stance there next to the dead body like it was all normal. That there was no danger in the way the fae walked or the calculation in the back of her eyes. But she was dangerous much in a way a flame was: beautiful and alluring but should be handled with caution. Marcus knew a thing or two about fires.
Once Ilinca came within reach, Marcus lightly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. He smoothed his hand to the middle of her back and pressed her into a slow dance. He kept her close and firmly to the lead. The witch slid his hand holding the fae's wrist to wrap about her hand, locking them into a proper frame. "I'm sure you will," he agreed, guiding them about her fresh kill. "Ever really have to work for it? The meal?" He whispered.
