Duncan had awoken from his slumber earlier than he anticipated and grew restless as he moved around his trailer, waiting for the sky to darken. He had yet to try the protective amulet that he had been given upon arrival, a bit weary of the effectiveness of it. But with each passing moment seeming longer than the next, he decided to put it on and venture out.
The sun would set soon, so he didn't feel as though he were risking too much, so long as he stayed in the shadows, he'd be fine. But every now and then, he'd risk a step over just to see if the amulet worked. Much to his surprise, it did, so long as he stayed withing the circus tents, as he had been told.
As he walked around with a newfound freedom within the cirque, he spotted a blonde woman of smaller stature, looking almost lost and confused. He had seen the face around before, though it had never held that expression. Duncan approached her for the first time since arrive at the cirque, and extended his hand carefully to steady her shoulder as she turned in search of something.
"Are ye alright there lass?" His brow raised with concern as his voice reached a softness that he had yet to express in this place.
