The small blonde creature padded her way around the temple with a look of sheer wonder in her silvery blue eyes. It was the look of a small child on Christmas morning. A look that hadn't dulled in over four decades, despite what she'd gone through. She was still really excited about..everything really. New experiences more so than anything. And Angkor Wat was certainly new.
Her bare feet daintily passed over moss covered stones, through stagnant puddles. Uncaring about getting a little dirty. That much was obvious by a glance at her knee length lace dress. At one point it might have been pure white. The bottom hem was now damp and a little frayed from walking through the undergrowth. Mud splashed up it like little red-brown flowers reaching for her waist.
It didn't seem to phase her though. Thinking that she was alone, she traced the crumbling carvings on the walls with pale fingers. Marveling at the old craftsmanship as she hopped over a little pile of rubble. Heading through a doorway and further into the temple. The whole place smelled like people, thousands of tourists flocked there, but it didn't seem fake like a lot of the tourist attractions she'd visited in her time with the circus. It felt..substantial. And the fact the jungle seemed to be ever encroaching, taking back the land it was built on, stone by stone, made the little wolf who'd been lost in the woods filled with glee.
The room she'd landed in was over grown and she had to duck under roots to descend a small set of stairs. Running out into the open space with a giggle. Pirouetting in the center with a well practiced grace as she came to a stop for what felt like the first time since she'd entered the temple. She was trying to take it all in. Commit it to memory. But a slight movement in the roots of the tree distracted her momentarily. She blinked. As if that was going to help. And tilted her head at the tree. Also pointless. "Hello?" She questioned, a slightly more proactive approach. But it did just look like a little ghost talking to a great tree. This was her trying not to look crazy.
