"Feels like I do that a lot these days," Alex muttered. Even though he'd been around magic his whole life, there was still a lot he didn't know. Joining the Cirque had made that even more clear for him.
"Time release nightmares. Now there's a horrifying thought," he sighed, pulling his knees closer to his chest. "Maybe because I didn't sleep a whole lot while I was there? Who knows."
He flinched slightly at the sound of breaking clay, but at least there wasn't a barrier between him and Issac anymore. The blood, though, should at least be mopped up. He snorted. "You say that like she doesn't probably already know." He rose and headed to the bathroom, grabbing a small towel for Issac's hand. "Let me see that," he said gently.
