"That isn't cheating," Aletha commented blithely, a couple of smug notes hidden deep in her tone. "That's paying attention. You should be pleased that I picked up on some of your skills." She had, after all, lived her whole life with the Pack. If she had learned nothing at all, she would have been a disappointment both as a woman and a witch.
Watching him prowl up the length of her body admittedly raised her temperature a couple of degrees at her core, and she turned a little toward him as he got comfortable beside her, molding the curves of her smaller body up against him. "Never enough. But I will forgive you, mi cielo, because I think it's my own greediness at fault." Around them, the Stargazer tent was quiet and serene, dark despite it being the middle of the day outside. Over their heads the night sky was already visible, clear except for a few wispy clouds moving across the enchanted starscape.
"I thought you might be bored, waiting for the move. I know I was, waiting for you to wake up." The smile that curved the corner of her mouth was playful, but even her teasing was adoring.
