It felt like an hour passed before the vibrations from his phone dragged him back to consciousness. Bleary eyed he looked over the text, cocked his brow, groaned, and finally pushed himself up so he could sit on the edge of the bed. His free hand moving to run through his hair before scratching at the back of his neck. A long stretch of his arms upward and then outward given before he finally brought the phone back up so he could text back.
>>Don't believe you're making me put pants on.
Pants were the enemy, she knew that, she was going to pay for this! Even the joke in his head made him laugh outwardly before a gentle smile tugged at his lips. He truly adored Aletha like no other - sometimes he couldn't believe he'd been lucky enough to have her in his life. All the troubles they seemed to bring to themselves were nothing compared to the happiness she filled him with. He didn't know why she was playing a little hide-and-go-seek, but it was lighthearted, silly, and something she would do to see him smile. That was good enough for him.
Moments later he left their trailer locked up behind him. Dark denim jeans, black t-shirt, messy bed-head hair, and bare feet carrying him towards her scent.
