Marco was not happy suddenly being nomadic. He hadn't realized the strain it would put on him to not have a real place to settle. Sure, the circus was home now and for the most part it felt the same day in and day out, but they were always relocating. As soon as he thought things were going to go well they were suddenly uprooted and on to another place. He was exaggerating, he knew that, even in his own head he knew that two moves did not mean that eternity would feel the same as it did today. As much as he wanted out of Rome, he wasn't looking forward to trying to get used to a whole new place, again, either.
It helped that Aletha was near and seemed to realize that he needed her near even when she couldn't really be near. He loved that she could sense that about him without needing to be asked, because he wasn't going to ask. He wanted to spend as much time with her as possible if for no other reason than to know she was safe. It was wearing on his nerves and he was sure it was upsetting Leth just as much, if not more, to suddenly have the rock in her life be anxious about unforeseen problems.
By the time the text rolled through Marco was just starting to wake from a nap. He'd been fed into a coma and though he probably should have been out doing something he'd chosen to fall asleep with Letha's scent wrapped against his face as he used her pillow to lay on. Groggy he grabbed his phone and blinked as he tried to unlock the screen twice. Finally the text was in view and he cocked his brow as he replied before pushing his face back into her pillow.
