Kennet could feel the anxiousness pouring off of her as if he would rip out her soul. The previous nights had been long and stressful on everyone involved. Her refusal of food did not phase the Djinn, figuring that sitting beside it would force her to eat.
"Not at all, Ms Doughtery."
Moving from the bar, Kennet sat done in the booth- which would not have crossed most anyone's mind as an occurrence that ever happened. Taking a moment of thought, he looked up at her with his head tilted to the side. "I wanted to express my appreciation for what you accomplished in finding the missing employees. I am aware of your feeling of being nothing compared to many here and that you had a desire to be bitten by your mate."
Knowing desires and secrets could be said to be the Djinn's greatest trick that he hid from the employees. Each of his kind had specialized abilities, not that many of his kind existed any longer.
