Alexandru & Meredith & Halle & Anyone close to the Ticket Booth
He could hear another young woman close to the ticket booth, filtering out the frantic Italian easily. His need to protect them all was overpowered by his proximity to the child and Meredith, two extreme innocents, and it helped him that other Cirque members were drawing some of the fire away while his wings took the brunt of the handful who hadn't been engaged yet. Alexandru roared again, rising up as he dropped his paw into range of the window. The roar pushed three gunmen back a few steps, enough for Alexandru to lower his other paw down to the opposite window.
"Hold paw. All. Mer! All," Alexandru insisted as he felt two hands curling around the ankle of one paw. He was prepared to roll and expose his back as he lifted up with the three of them, his agile grace would make it a very fast turn and they would be safe from any stray bullets while still in range of the guns. He couldn't shoot up out of range too quickly - the humans wouldn't be able to keep hold of him. When he felt a third set of hands gripping his other paw, Alexandru pulled his paws close, feeling the slight weight of the two women and little girl. In the blink of an eye, he'd rolled over as he lifted off at the same time, the humans on his stomach. His wings flapped once and they were 30 feet above what remained of the ticket booth.
Alexandru thought they were clear then he felt another sting at his back and he swooped higher, flying upside-down so the humans would be secure. It was not as graceful as he usually was, but he was able to steer them toward the Village. Landing in front of his trailer was a bit more like a 5 foot drop to the ground, but the humans safety took priority. "Inside. All. Safe. Lock door," he growled in short rumbles.
