"I'm Finnerty," she offered back. "I like the sun sometimes, but it feels so bright at times." Traveling to the surface had been a group activity to do for fun and visit her shallow-water sisters, but Finnerty's home was the vast black depths of the ocean and days with no clouds in the sky felt intense to her eyes. She had not discovered sunglasses, even seeing people wear them only came off as just another layer humans liked to put on.
Fin flexed her feet, the scales shining in the sun beams. "Thank you. You should see my colours at night. Well, when my scales are visible that is." She giggled. "I am surprised more creatures on land do not glow at night, as even with all the light from the moon they don't seem to be able to see very well."
