"So few do anymore," Ghede murmured. "Properly, anyway." He had his thoughts about that in today's society, sure, but he was comfortable and happy. Going into how no one respected the dead anymore, or celebrated their lives instead of focusing on their grief, would have just gotten him worked up. Another time, maybe.
He pulled out a cigarette of his own, lighting it by holding it briefly in the flames. "I'm sure that was their reasoning, yes," he agreed. "Though you might speak to Clover, she's one of the animal trainers. She understands them, it's fascinating. Perhaps she'd let you do some work with the horses."
He smiled down at Bitsy when she leaned against him. "Sounds like quite the exciting life," he told her. "You'll probably see me when you're cooking, I do love to eat."
