Alex had depleted quite a few of his ingredients during his personal restock, and then even more helping out at the bandaid station. So he was running low on pretty much everything. Thankfully a lot of the common things grew nearly everywhere, and the ones that were harder to find were usually in nurseries or shops.
He approached the edge of the forest with a bag slung over his shoulder. A pair of gloves and a box of Ziploc bags were tucked inside, the better to keep everything separated. Some things would need to be kept as fresh as possible, others were better dried. But the sorting could take place once he was back in his workshop.
