Had she voiced her observations, Kennet might have led her further to the information he wanted her to figure out but had been told not to say. He reminded himself that there was no reason to stir fear amongst the employees. It was bad enough that Ms Doughtery knew that he had been off; any further might undermine him.
"I have taken you bed." He said. "Are you not on it?" Though he might not have shown it on the outside, Kennet did amuse himself at times with the hints he could drop and the utter ignorance of memories the witch had.
"We need not sleep. Djinn are fire, as you saw, eternal energy without end. Sleep does not interest me." Kennet moved from the door and stood at the end of the bed. He had no chair in the room to sit on while she slept. It all seemed rather ridiculous to stay while she intended to retire, but he had offered her a chance.
