As someone who liked to listen to others and observe their habits; Marco was at ease with Raine’s rambling and simply smirked with a few well timed nods of his head to show he was listening and comprehending the information she offered. Again his brow arched when she said something that seemed to pique his interest, “A gargoyle?” The question more to himself. He’d always been told stories of the gargoyles on church being guardians, but he’d never put stock into it let alone thing them real.
Pixies, gargoyles, what the hell was going to be next?
Again her words confused him – if he didn’t want to become a statue talk to Nick? Was there a witch going around turning people into statues? Was Medusa a sideshow somewhere? A slow blink was given, but the thoughts were kept to himself as he matched Raine’s pace as they walked. Though the temperature in the tent was nice; just from looking around he knew he probably wouldn’t come here on a normal day for no reason.
As a question came his way he tilted his head side to side as if weighing out his options before giving a slight roll of broad shoulder, “for myself I have to say the food tents will probably remain my favorite place – any of them. Especially if there’s meat.” A slight chuckle followed the last word before he shrugged again. “That star tent is going to stay on my mind for a while though, Aletha will enjoy it a lot I think. Thanks for pointing it out, I don’t think I would have found it randomly on my own.” He was a curious person, but he would follow his nose more than the mystery of something.
“The statues here look pretty…” A slight pause given as he looked from one to another as they strolled past, “…real?” Not an artist he didn’t know the first thing about carving marble or molding clay and had no idea what the statues were made of, they simply reminded him of images of statues he’d seen in history books. Roman? Greek? Something like that.
