A Djinn's nature came directly from the flame of their true form. It only changed when the item in which it held covenant and the force that in turn held it forced them down. The cirque preferred their Djinn icy and cool, to easily hold the whip on the employees. Kennet understood his terms, so when he felt such anger and hatred toward the coven, he realized something was wrong. Standing in Management's trailer, with no new arrivals to worry about coming in for their contract, Kennet folded his hands behind his back. His icy gaze lowered to the ground. The wooden table and chair in which everyone signed their contract sat as empty as the rest of the trailer. A magic stirred behind a half wall and curtain but no heartbeat, no breathing, no life could be detected. "I am worried." He said to the empty room. "These events are not the typical ones we experience from these stops." Silence. "It is something to be concerned about." The room heated up as fire filled Kennet's eyes, though they never raised. "Though I am not as easily fooled as the young ones over these ridiculous symptoms, I am being affected. Your influences are there in my mind and yet..." His words died out. "Yes." "More often than not." "I am not sure they can handle it either." "Half of our employees are requesting the move early and as I know you will not allow that to happen, I wish to know what is to be done with those suffering." "Fine." Each utterance came with no answer that could be heard. The trailer, itself, could not be penetrated by outside senses, whether telepath or enhanced senses, so Kennet had no worry about eavesdroppers. Bringing his thumb to his mouth, he tapped it in thought. He wanted to tell the Coven that his reactions had not been his own, but the mere thought made the invisible bindings tighten around his wrist. "Please, Sir." Pain filled his expression in a way no one had ever seen. All stoicism dropped from his demeanour. "One already knows I am not my own here." "Yes, I know that is a separate issue." "Yes, sir." "I will not be direct in my words then, as a whole, they are clever enough to figure it out." "Yes, sir." With that Kennet vanished from the room, back to his trailer. |
