Her hand still rested on his chest, but now her thumb moved against the fabric of his t-shirt and it was a pleasant feeling, a distraction from the darkness of his thoughts. He didn't like that the nightmare clung to him, that it kept coming back to torment him again and again. Alexandru knew his kind could be broody, but he loved life so much that it felt like a hot, wet blanket had been thrown over him from which he could not extricate himself. That his mood might affect the lovely Meredith was a serious concern for him. She was always so kind and and happy. He didn't want to bring her down.
She stepped closer and his gaze met hers as he became aware of the heaviness leaving him, his mood evening out as it hadn't since the nightmares began. The only thing that had changed was that Meredith was touching him, not even making skin to skin contact, but whatever she was doing, his mood lifted in response to it. His limbs felt... lighter and there was an intensity that seemed to grow before suddenly dissipating. "What did you do?" he asked, very aware that whatever was happening was coming from her.
"I don't know what others are experiencing and I do not want to... I'd spare you the details of my nightmares, Meredith," he stammered as she curled her arms around his neck, pressing her soft, curvy body against his and he hesitated a moment before his free hand gently rested at the small of her back. He rested his temple against her head, inhaling the scent of her shampoo, and feeling the comfort of her touch. There were other sensations, of course, that rose from being held by a beautiful woman, but he put those thoughts to the back of his mind. "I... I was going to fly, but do you want coffee? I could make some."
