Conor bit down on his tongue so he didn't just burst out laughing. He heard one small snort escape, but covered it with a cough. Or hoped he had anyway. "I'll look after her," he promised, as Cass made for the opening.
He took Brighid's hand and led her to an open clearing in the garden. He'd made snowmen a fair number of times there himself, and it was the best place for it. Less trees and shrubs to get in the way. He released Brighid and paced forward, looking around. "Needs more cloud cover," he murmured, beckoning a few towards him. Snow started to fall more thickly around him, but he brushed his hair aside and continued.
The base of any snowman was the biggest part, and the hardest for others to manipulate. He twirled his hand around a few times, making a ball that came up to his knee, and wide enough to support the other parts. Snow had been falling all this time, and he finally looked up, faintly annoyed. "Enough of that, thank you," he muttered, banishing the clouds again.
