Maddy had managed to snag her bag as they made their retreat, but her sandals had been left behind. She'd mentally shrugged and given them up for lost, and at least she had others. She'd wanted to stay a bit longer, they never seemed to get a chance to go swimming. But it had been fun laughing as they ran away into the night. And no one wants to be the last one left when backup shows up.
"I think door number two," she laughed. Her t-shirt had been sacrificed to her dripping hair, because the constant droplets had been starting to get annoying. "It was probably the most interesting part of his whole week, poor guy."
