Seeing Jim's inability to communicate was more intriguing to Oded than amusing. He enjoyed a relationship with the man that few could understand, but that was not unusual for Oded. While others might view his actions as kindness or compassion, it was merely an illusion under which he increased his own power here on Earth. The Wendigo was a cursed being, with a myriad of problems that it struggled with, and Oded was a balm. A balm that sought to corrupt the cursed man in his own way.
Still, this new dilemma had presented Oded with a unique opportunity and a singularly interesting evening ahead of him. At Jim's odd text, he had procured chips and dip along with a couple of pizza's. He'd also borrowed a game of Scrabble from one of his neighbors, though he wasn't certain that would be of any help. Oded was putting chips in a bowl when Jim entered and he gestured for him to have a seat, bringing over a tray with bowls and drinks on it to set down on the coffee table. The Scrabble tiles were already in a box on the edge.
"Relax, Jim," he chuckled as he nodded his thanks for the gift. He handed Jim a glass of Scotch on the rocks and took a seat in the chair to the side. "I procured Scrabble tiles and I would like to attempt something, though later. First, I imagine you have had a frustrating day." Oded lifted his own glass in salute.
