"You might have gotten them... but you won't take me!" He could curse her, taunt her, toy with her all he wanted... all it would get him was ash. She'd burn everything if she had to. He wouldn't get away. He wouldn't hurt anyone else any more.
The fire went from red to orange, and slowly started to shift down into yellow... and further. Though the fire was smaller, there was no doubt it was getting hotter... and more powerful. The frost would appear, melt, and caused steam to rise in their 'duel'. The light got lower and lower as the fire became smaller still, moving down the color spectrum into a light blue.
The glass cracked as magic permeated the air. Diana's will of destruction focused solely on this apparition of Seth. Just as she was about to launch her attack, Achak appeared. He came from the mirrors and lowered his head.
Peace Came the growl in her head. Peace. Calm.
Achak had done everything in her life to keep her safe. The fact that he was telling her to calm down when her would be murderer was here was... more than a bit mind blowing. The witch paused, the fire slowly returning to yellow as she let some of the magic unwind.
You know what this is...
"Wendigo..." She whispered to herself as Achak went to nuzzle her side once more. Strange, as she liberated the magic from her grasp, she no longer felt as terrified of Seth.
"...Had enough?" She called out. Only the slightest flicker of red flame danced in her hand as the other carded through Achak for support.
