Esme was going to miss Aspen a lot. It seemed like so much had happened over the last stop and it had been mostly, if not completely positive. Sledding with Oded had been wonderful, having him hold her as she'd giggled and flew down the mountain with him. Seeing his demon form due to a kiss she'd wanted to give him. Sleeping in his bed when four days of insomnia had gotten too much for her. And the shopping trip that had been both jarring and enlightening giving her more confidence rather than less. Which was what she'd expected to have happened when she'd first stepped out from behind those plush curtains in nothing more than a set of underwear.
It had been a perfect stop for her. But not so much for the rest of her fellow wolf shifters. Unbeknownst to Oded, now that they were in Massachusetts the pack that had seemed intent on shielding the innocent wolf really had too many of their own problems to worry about her welfare. They'd stepped away from the girl to let her get into her own trouble as they dealt with the problems that had came up. She was really free to do anything she wanted. Sure, Ty had made it clear that he didn't want boys sniffing around her. But when he was off getting women pregnant, he really couldn't say anything about his little sister getting closer to a man.
It was with that newfound freedom that she went over to visit Oded in the new city. Waiting patiently at his door with the present in hand.
She really didn't care about the scent that might have clung to him, she was used to it by now. And while knowing he had other ladies in his life did make her feel weirdly jealous, eventhough she really had no reason to be, she'd never imagine Oded would even consider putting them aside. Sure, he might if he ever found someone who completely fulfilled his desires, but the idea that that woman might be her had never crossed her mind. It would be insane to think that.
When the man's door opened Esme beamed brightly up at him, amusement playing in her silvery eyes at the look of shock on his face when he noticed her hair. "You don't like it?" She questioned, raising her eyebrow slightly as she instinctively ran her fingers over her gentle curls. Unsure of herself for a moment. "I felt like I needed a change," was the only excuse she could think of for the rather drastic change of appearance. Not just the newly platinum hair, but also the small pair of denim shorts and oversized gray sweater [nsfw] she was wearing. Exposing far more skin than her usual lacy white dress. Infact most of her long legs were visible, her swan like neck and the curve of one of her shoulders, exposing the strap of one of the deep green bras he'd bought her. The only thing that was still very much in keeping with her old style was the constant innocent look on her pretty features and the lack of socks and shoes.
She giggled at his reaction and stepped into his home. Turning around once she was safely inside so she could hold out the wooden box to him. "Here, this is for you." She explained. "I mean, it's not much. But I thought you might like it.." The sweet shifter added, looking a little nervous and this time it wasn't because of the creepy feeling she got about this new destination. She was a little worried Oded would see the sentimental little gifts she'd got him and think she was a love sick puppy...Which wasn't a hundred miles off the truth.
