Haydn had been stressed to the max since he realized something was wrong with the magic that bound him to Syssi's family. He had thuroughly inspected the scar on his hip but it hadn't seemed to have changed at all. And he still couldn't go more than a mile or two from Syssi. It was just the emotional aspect that didn't seem to be working. But that was almost more important than that pull he felt towards her when they were far apart. He should have felt the fear she felt when she was accosted the other night. He didn't even begin to know how to figure out what was wrong. All Kelsia had ever told him was that his 'grandfather' had found a witch to bind their lines forever. So he had to find a witch or warlock. Someone who knew magic. Which was a problem since he didn't actually trust anyone at the cirque. But he had to figure out what was going on, so he reached out to Issac. He was the only one outside of Syssi and management who knew he wasn't just a gifted human and since he had found out, no one else had been told. It wasn't exactly trust but it would have to do.
It wasn't difficult for Haydn to find the things Issac said he'd need. One of the benefits of living on the grounds of a supernatural carnival. And it didn't take much to convince Syssi to offer up some of her blood. All he had to do was threaten to not leave her side if things weren't fixed and she agreed. So after his performance, he gathered all of the requested items and went to Issac's trailer, knocking firmly on the door. He pushed his anxiety down as he waited for the warlock to answer. He didn't have a great feeling about this but he didn't have many options. It's not like he could go to the witch who'd created the bond even if he knew who it was.
