"Generally, yes," he replied. "When the body stops working, the spirit has no need for it. And that's where I come in. They need to choose the path they will take, now that they've shuffled loose the mortal coil. I will guide them however they wish, but they must make the choice themselves."
"Apologies if I've made you uncomfortable," he told her, settling back in his chair. "Though, if you ask me, how does it not? Life and death are so tightly intertwined, and pleasure can remind us that their is life and joy to be found in the midst of death. All things must die, this is true, but that doesn't mean joy can't be found while you're still living."
