Ghede heard the voice as he passed by her wagon, and he looked up and smiled. "Sure thing, cheri," he said, pulling out an old-fashioned pocket watch. "It's...quarter after one." He snapped the watch shut and tucked it back into his pocket.
"I don't think we've met," he said amiably. "I'm Papa Ghede. What do they call you?"
