"Yeah," he nodded, "it is. it's home." He smiled, "more home than any home I've ever had." He shook his head, "I don't mind. I'm glad they took me in and helped me. I was fucking lost.."
He glanced down to where she'd poked him and then smirked back up toward her, "To hold me accountable? You think she's gonna do that?" He chuckled, "she might murder me. You'll have to come and find me."
He motioned toward Maddy, "I bet you can. If I can, I'm sure you can. You don't have to be fuckin' Pop Idol. Just be able to carry a tune, yeah? I'll see about writing you a song." He chuckled and scrunched up his nose, "I don't think they do.. I can see if my sisters can send me some, maybe."
His brows arched upward, "Oooh.. I had never thought about it like that.. You being able to hypnotize people for real life things. huh.. that's kinda cool.. I would have used that talent for so many things," he snorted.
"Yeah.." he sighed, "tell me about it. I'm getting pretty fucking old." He fell silent a moment, thinking about it.
He definitely wasn't getting any younger.
"Yeah, yeah," he smiled, looking back to her, "I care about you too, Mads," he reached across his chest to set his hand over her's at his shoulder, to give it a squeeze.
