Callum had finally taken a break for dinner-- the first days were always so busy. After that, things went pretty smoothly unless a bad storm or something came through. His work day was pretty much over, though... So his evening would and could consist of liquor much stronger than beer. How could Callum say no to the harder stuff? Especially if a friend was asking him to drink with them-- or offering to drink with him.
Blinking when he heard his name, he glanced up from his plate as he took another bite of funnel cake. Giving a bit of an unsure look around, he was fairly certain he recognized that soft whisper. Scooping up his paper plate of powdered sugar-covered dough, he started wandering from the area of picnic tables, around toward the path that it sounded like the voice was coming from.
Using his plastic fork to stab at another piece of funnel cake, he took the bite, as he eventually spotted Maddy in her ridiculous dress, and actually saw her whispering after him. "Oi," he finished chewing and swallowed as he made his way to her, "whaddya need, Mads?"
