The mention of sirens brought a twitch of a smile to Finnerty's lips. It had been since the beginning of this most recent life since she had seen her cousin species. No other creature truly understood the mermaids as the sirens did, though she had a small bit of jealousy for their voices and the way they used them. "There are Sirens there? At the Cirque?"
Eyes narrowing, Finnerty gave up her spot that would make for an easier getaway to step closer to the man. Her gaze trailed over him, coming back to his face with a curious look. "A dragon?" That subject made the circus secondary in what mattered. She had never met a dragon before. They were strange creatures to Finnerty, her whole life being underneath the water and rarely staying at the surface long enough to know how winged creatures managed to stay up in the thinness of the air.
"I do not wish to be kept like an animal again... It took far too long to get away from the last human. How would a circus keep me safe?" Her words matched the cautiousness of a recently traumatized person, but her curiosity over him had taken her to directly in front of the human-skinned dragon. Her hand reached out to touch his arm; the webbing between her fingers slowly disappearing as if it had never been there.
