Gwen liked to keep an eye on the carnival's newcomers, ever since she was a newcomer herself and couldn't have helped them in any genuine way. She just wanted to be that first friendly face, the person they would always remember with gratitude. And everybody needed a helping hand when first arriving; the carnival was exciting, but it was also immense and more than a little intimidating. So yes, Gwen did like keeping an eye on the newcomers...and with Rhine, she was keeping both eyes fixed firmly on the siren.
She couldn't imagine that anyone would blame her for her interest. Sirens were naturally beautiful of course, but there had to be some measure of attraction among the species and Rhine was most certainly on the higher end. A statuesque blonde who summoned to mind images of a certain Greek Goddess of Love, Gwen had grinned like a hungry wolf when first introductions had been made. She was still hungry. Hungry for affection, for dependence, for friendship, and...certain other things.
Gwen wasn't performing tonight, but there were very few performances she skipped. She liked to be on-hand to tell the girls how wonderfully they did. Seeing Rhine, Gwen silently crept up next to her and gracefully settled a hand on the siren's shoulder. "Nervous, honey?" she asked sweetly. "You shouldn't be. You're about to give a bunch of nice people a reason for living. Still, you did say I should give you a hug, and I'm a woman of my word." Gwen winked saucily, and looped both arms around Rhine to pull her into a firm embrace. The redhead's large breasts acted like pillows for the nervous siren, and Gwen planted a kiss on Rhine's forehead. "You'll be fine. Everyone here has got your back."
