Caleb | Cat | Cullum
This wasn't fun. This wasn't his idea of fun at all. He wasn't sure how many mosquitos he'd swatted at, he was 97% sure there was mud and swamp water in his boots, and his knee was killing him. Sure, he knew they'd be hiking a bit through the swamps... but he hadn't expected to be following along all the way to fucking Haunted Mansion.
He hadn't wanted Catherine to go on this little excursion. She'd insisted that they needed her help. That she was vital to the paranormal investigation or whatever it was she was going on about. Callum had wanted to stay in bed, getting his much needed beauty sleep and rest for the full moon, among other things. But noooo. Catherine was needed elsewhere. And Callum was at least half positive that she didn't want him coming along.
Probably because everyone seemed to think that he caused trouble. Psh. He couldn't just let Catherine go off into the night looking for ghouls, goblins, and R.O.U.S.es by herself, now, could he?? Or perhaps he could, considering the fact that HE WASN'T ALLOWED TO BLOODY TOUCH HER. Not even if she had another seizure!
Trudging along behind Caleb and Catherine, his frowny glare went from one to the other and then back again, while he thought to himself, and kept quiet. It was then that he realized that Catherine was Velma, Caleb was Scooby-Doo, and he was fucking Shaggy.
Fucking hell.
When they set foot onto the plantation grounds, the odd smell didn't go unnoticed by his sensitive nose, but he didn't have any supernatural powers, really. No connection to it all like Catherine and her hell beast friend did.
"Aye, maybe it's just the shit from the swamp that's caked on Scoob's fur, here." He finally caught up when Catherine slowed down, her hands out in front of herself. Glancing over at Caleb and then to Catherine with a smug smile before he looked ahead again, since that seemed to be the direction the other two were being terribly cautious of.
"Have I mentioned I don't like haunted houses? Things jumping out at you and shit? That was never fun to me..." if anything jumped out at them, he was going to start swinging.
