Who: Cassander and Madeline What: Maddie desperately needs to sleep. When: May 7th, extremely early morning Where: Cass's little cabin house Warnings: ... Shirtless fae?
Cassander had heard the ruckus caused by the dragon woman earlier and it had scared the Hell out of his daughter. Bri was now, finally, asleep but it had Cass wondering if this really was the best place for them now. A murder and a crazed dragon in one week? That wasn't really great. But that also meant he wasn't leaving his cabin to take Maddie her tea. Hopefully, she would think to come to him. He just couldn't leave Bri alone right now.
He had spent quite a bit of his afternoon making sure the measurements of the herbs were right. He had mixed chamomile, poppy, lavender and valerian together, along with a couple of herbs that were specific to the faerie lands. One to help with the taste which would be honestly awful without it - with it, it would be a bit like sugar and cinnamon - and one to help with the sleeping. If this honestly didn't work, she was going to need something so much stronger. He hadn't been kidding about that sleeping curse which was something he had knowledge of but hadn't used in a very long time.
His long fingers tapped the tin in which he had put the mixture - a fair bit of it if he were honest - as he waited. He'd give her until 4 and then he would have to sleep himself. Being that he was safe in his home, he hadn't even thought of the tremendous scarring he had on display being only in sleeping pants. The windows were open to let in the air and would remain that way until they moved and he knew what sort of weather they would be facing tomorrow. But it wasn't long before he heard a knock and he crossed his cabin to the door to peer out, making sure it was Maddie before opening it and murmuring, "Come in."
