It was a lot to take in, the fact that Eden was older than he appeared, yet Gabriel had come to terms with much more surprising revelations over the past few weeks since joining the Cirque. By now, such information was becoming the norm. "How old are you?" he asked, not stopping to think how the question might be considered rude by some. "Not that it matters, like I said, but I'm just...curious."
With his face already flushed from the alcohol, Gabriel's blush at Eden's words didn't register. His mind momentarily drifted to that hypothetical scenario, of Eden waking up beside him after a night of who-knew-what, and Gabe felt his stomach twist almost pleasurably at the thought. "I could be a crazy axe murderer," he said, though there was no hint of such a thing within him. He wasn't capable of such acts. "Would you really jump into bed with someone without knowing a bit more about them?"
