That pout. The gesture had settled the deal in his mind already, anything else that followed with the intent to sway him was having no effect considering he’d made his decision. An expression like Gabriel’s pout was like ammunition; hopefully Gabriel didn’t catch on to the fact that Eden was basically putty in his hands when subject to it. He didn’t let on, of course, wanting to draw the moment out a bit longer.
At the challenge Eden grinned, cat-like, and his eyes narrowed to slits playfully, “Aren’t you brave challenging me, tiny human?” He could’ve never hurt Gabe, not even if he wanted to. And so, silently giving in to the other man, Eden let himself be lead closer to their destination. “I will warn you, though,” he began, talking loud enough over the music and chatter that Gabe could hear him, “If you can’t dance I’m leaving you here by yourself. There might be videos taken, too.” It wasn’t a real promise, he wouldn’t leave.
Eden grabbed gently onto Gabe and twirled him around, leading them both in a spin onto the crowded dance floor. He avoided colliding into someone, offering an apologetic wince coupled with a soft laugh. Whoops. Tugging Gabriel closer, Eden held onto him for a second. “Why do I suddenly feel like I’m in the middle of that Beauty and the Beast movie?” He’d leaned inward to talk into Gabe’s ear lest his words be lost in the atmosphere.
