The attire wasn’t the important part of the evening; Eden had been to much more formal galas before, things thrown by his own parents considering their knack of catering to the more well-to-do side of society. It was the company that mattered this evening. Admittedly he’d been a touch nervous before meeting Gabriel and he didn’t really understand why. That had worn off by the time he’d arrived with his date, whom (even casual) looked gorgeous. Even with that silly tie. Eden had chosen a very fine, much much more toned down black suit - the coat and the pants matched, he wore a black dress shirt beneath and his tie wasn’t nearly as outstanding as Gabe’s but it did the job tying the ensemble together. He’d even tied his hair back with a black ribbon to match.
Flowers generally weren’t his preference, a lot of them reeked and drove his senses wild, but he said nothing to Gabe. The expressions of awe at the plants and matching plaqards was enough to satisfy being tugged around to look at everything. With the drinks and conversations flowing freely Eden let himself escape into the night lead by the man on his arm.
Dancing was something he was fairly decent at; those aforementioned galas required some level of movement (especially when those in attendance had been indulging like he and Gabriel had). Eden chuckled lightly at that eagerness, casting a glance at the dance floor and the people upon it for a moment in consideration. “Dancing?” He whined playfully, returning his attention to Gabriel.
