It seemed to him that Gabriel was enjoying the company of the cubs and Eden didn’t want to ruin the moment with personal things. There would be ample time to uncover each other’s pasts and presents. When that time came Eden figured Gabe would probably want little to nothing to do with him so he avoided that and preferred to bask in the nicer moments while they were there.
“You should let me take your picture. Your face is precious,” Eden said, maneuvering the cub in his arms. He slid his phone out of his pocket and held it up, waiting for the okay.
The invitation to the ball warmed him and his smile grew. “I’d love that.” Now he just had to find something to wear.
