Ilinca nodded, sipping at the last of her own drink. "I did not grow up celebrating any holidays," she explained. "It was not until I left home that I even knew what Christmas was, or why it was celebrated. So for me, sometimes things are new and interesting. Though perhaps it is because I am able to see and experience in my own way."
She grinned, brushing her hair over her shoulder. "I have it on good authority that I'm very good company," she told him, winking. "If for no other reason than that I am a very good dancer."
"On work nights, it is worse," she confided. "Leaves me with-what is the word-blisters, sometimes, on my toes. But I like the way I look in them. Stops so many people from looking down on me."
